Studio recording accomplished
Album number one – recording accomplished. Happier than ever! We had an inspiring week in Studio epidemin with recording master Johannes Lundberg. Now Ludvig Ward has begun mixing. 19 songs in all. Thank you dear musical friends who made my old songs sound in a new way, in a new time: Olle Linder, Ossian Ward, Arvid Jullander, Per Strandberg, Martin Bjurek Svanström, Simon Jonsson, Karin Klingenstierna, Urban Ward. Last but not least: Thanks to Dan Holmqvist, photo and Johan Johansson, Imogena records who believes in this product. Look forward to our release party 30/3!
Solspel (Sunplay) 22/11 Swedish Radio P2, soon on CD
Solspel – 55 takter före skymningen (Sunplay – 55 bars before dusk) for mixed choir a cappella, was premiered by wonderful Erik Westbergs vocal ensemble. Listen to the concert Monday November 22 ca 20.30 ”Klassiska konserten i P2”, Swedish Radio p2. Looking forward to the CD, to be recorded late November.
Performed in Hortlax church 16/10, Umeå church 17/10.
Spår vägar delivered
I have finished Spår vägar (Paths trace) for Gothenburg Symphony Orchestra, and had the score delivered on the scheduled date, 30/9. Feeling a bit empty now; I have worked with the piece for nearly two years. 14 singers, the new wonderful GSO concert organ, symphony orchestra and beautiful video art by Lene Juhl. Libretto and music by me.First performance planned to November 2023. Please read more under ”works”.
Signed up for album release
Happy to announce that I signed a contract with Imogena Records, for my album project ”Paulas songs – finally, from start”. For me, a true exciting musical adventure, involving c:a 35 songs from the 80´s. We will have a first recording session at Studio Epidemin, Göteborg with sound master Johannes Lundberg (in photo with Mr Hammond B3) I will collaborate with wonderful musicians : Olle Linder, Per Strandberg, Arvid Jullander, Martin Jurek Svanström, Ossian Ward and Ludvig Ward who also will be producing. First release planned to February/March2022.
Elder care tour in Gothenburg
July 4-9 I was happy to make a solo tour with a program for Speldags, the Gothenburg city’s cultural administration for elder care.
It was a true pleasure singing and play ten of my songs from the 20th century, for this lovely audience:) Thank you Speldags for having me!
