Release concert on the beautiful Tranströmer song book.
Tomas Tranströmer’s widow Monica Tranströmer will be interviewed by Martin Hellström,
professor of literary studies and rector at Mälardalen University. Martin also shares
of thoughts and reflections on the poet’s writing.
”Här är jag lycklig!” is a collection of newly composed music to lyrics by Tomas Tranströmer
for voice and piano. The music edition is the result of Svensk Musik’s director of operations and earlier
opera singer, Ann-Christin Biels, vision and commitment to inspire composers to
set a Swedish poet’s poems to music. Ann-Christin will share with us the exciting journey that
the work entailed.
Finally, music from the collection will be performed by opera students from Music and
Opera College, Mälardalen University, wich concert pianist Magnus Svensson.
After the performance, bubbly and canapés are served in the castle premises.
