Humble and happy to announce that my second saxophone quartet Desire encapsulated will be performed by Slovenian saxophone quartet 4saxess, within the festival Svensk Musikvår.
The piece from 2013 is dedicated to my dear parents. It was premiered by Stockholm saxophone quartet in Reykjavik 2/2 2014 – on my father’s birthday, a month before my mother passed away. This piece means a lot to me. When my father heard it later, he immediately said: I want to have this piece at my funeral. Well, a year ago (February 2023) it happened. A revised version at his funeral, due to his wish.
One of those moments in life; I am forever grateful to SSQ that made it happen.
