Program note

I meet up with Trio Poseidon one day in early summer. They do not play. They talk about their playing. They talk about interaction. What happens when they play together. Side by side. When they find the mode when time seems to hold its breath. When time stops just because of their intimate musical interaction together, like a voice with many colors. That sounds lovely. I usually write music based on lyrics, sentences, libretti. I usually want to express stories, situations, processes in my music Don’t get me wrong, but right now I do not want to convey anything. Except pure music.
