Short version for smaller ensemble premiered – I arranged my new ceremony music for the Medal Awarding Ceremony for The Royal Orders of Knighthood for a smaller orchestra this year. Joakim Unander conducted greatly at the ceremony May 28th.

On 28 May, an investiture ceremony was held, after the recipients’ names were announced on 30 April. The King presented the orders to the recipients and the Queen presented the letters patent. This was the second ceremony according to the new regulations introduced in 2023.
Besides the Royal Orders of Knighthood, The King also confers wearable royal medals. After the names of medal recipients have been announced on 28 January, 6 June and 5 November, an investiture ceremony is held at the Royal Palace.
Obviously, this was a very honorable mission and an exciting task (though I wasn´t sewing a new dress this year…) and the 2025 edition of the piece was arranged for ten musicians from Arméns Musikkår, which I was really happy to do.
